The pianist Maria-Diana Petrache graduated in 2017 from the National Univeristy of Music in Bucharest (the class of Univ. Prof. Viniciu Moroianu, Phd) as chief of promotion. She has been admitted to the prestigious Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media for a Master’s Degree.
Maria-Diana is an active presence in concert halls and she has collaborated with orchestras such as Webern Kammerphilharmonie from Vienna, the Radio Chamber Orchestra from Bucharest, the Oltenia Chamber Orchestra, the Ploiesti Philharmonic Orchestra, the „Ion Dumitrescu” Philharmonic, Râmnicu-Vâlcea, the „Concerto” Orchestra of the Bucharest National University of Music, the „Mihail Jora” Philharmonic Orchestra in Bacău, the Philharmonic Orchestra in Botoşani, the Doctors’ Orchestra, the Orchestra of the „G. Enescu” National Music College, Lyceum Strings Orchestra, under the baton of conductors Vladimir Kiradjiev (Austria), Gabriel Bebeşelea, Constantin Grigore, Valentin Doni, Radu Postăvaru, Bogdan Vodă, Dario Bisso-Sabadin (Italy), Corvin Matei (South Africa), George Hariton, I.I.Prunner, Gheorghe Iliuţă. Maria-Diana has presented numerous recitals, microrecitals and chamber concerts.
During the recitals she performed on the scene of the Studio Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum she collaborated with important musical personalities such as the violonist Luminiţa Julieta Mihai (USA), the flutist Ion Bogdan Ştefănescu, the clarinetist Emil Vişenescu and the mezzo-soprano Elmira Sebat.
She is the semifinalist of international competitions such as „Silvio Bengalli”, Val Tidone and Massarosa (Italy, 2016) and a laureate (over 30 prizes) of numerous national and international competitions which took place in Romania.
